Color, Conversation and Community: Art in the Heart of the Three Rivers
So much of what we do at Mulberry Photo Werx is as much about creating art as it is capturing our clients’ memories. When I started on my photography journey 17 years ago, I couldn’t have imagined the amazing creators I would have met along the way. Art is a journey best shared with others, and the creative community is better together. It is in that spirit that we’re announcing today the launch of our Discord community for like-minded individuals who cherish art in all its forms - not just photography.
Our own team’s passions run across a wide gamut of categories. In addition to photography, I appreciate music, film noir, and anime. Kara’s passions include anime, books, and cosplay - and that’s just to name a few! No matter your interest, our Discord community was created with you in mind. Art lovers from all over Pittsburgh are welcome to share their experiences on the latest cultural happenings in and around the ‘Burgh (and PA too)!
We’ll have general topic channels like #anime, #great-reads, and #pets (just to name a few), but we’re adding a bit of our own flair with channels like #pgh-events, #news-and-updates, and #giveaways.
So much of our Discord will be about providing art fans with a place to talk about their passions, but we also want to show our love to our supporters too.
For the longest time, we’ve been wanting to add a chat feature to our website but the options out there seemed overpriced. Email has its place, but lacks personality. In looking at alternatives, we found that an overwhelming majority of our clients and others used Discord already, so migrating was a natural fit. And if that wasn’t enough of an impetus, it helps us invest our financial resources into the right areas of our business which, in turn, helps provide our clients with greater value.
Kara does an awesome job cultivating the best experience possible for our clients - and how we will use Discord to further that goal is nothing short of amazing. Now, you’ll have a closer way to connect us: meeting virtually for consultations, asking questions about your last shoot, or getting help with your account - and much more - is just a quick message away.
Clients also get the benefit of some additional loyalty discounts toward their next session when they join our Discord. Through the end of this year, you’ll get an additional 5% discount (that’s a total of 15%) off your next full booking when you join our community and complete the client verification steps. In addition, we will be introducing a points system in the coming months where the more active in the community you are, the more loyalty rewards you can earn. Stay tuned!
